Mumbai Hookah Parlour Raid: Bigg Boss 17 Winner Munawar Faruqui Among 13 Detained

“Mumbai Police Detain Bigg Boss 17 Winner Munawar Faruqui and 13 Others in Hookah Parlour Raid. Although Faruqui was released with a notice due to a bailable offense, a case has been registered at MRA Marg Police Station. The raid, conducted at Sabalan Hotel in Fort area, led to the recovery of tobacco gutka and hookah-related items. Police seized Rs 4,400 and nine hookah pots worth Rs 13,500. Faruqui was booked under The Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products Act, 2003 (COTPA). Despite the ban on hookah parlours in Maharashtra, illegal operations persist, prompting police action following a tip-off.”

Elvish Yadav seemingly reacted to Munawar Faruqui’s recent controversy. For the unversed, Munawar was detained after a hookah bar raid in Mumbai. He along with 13 others were questioned by the police and eventually were released. Hours after the news about the raid broke, Elvish shared a cryptic post on X (previously known as Twitter) poking fun at Bigg Boss 17 winner Munawar. He asked if life takes a wrong turn after winning the Salman Khan hosted show.

“Noida Police arrested Elvish Yadav earlier this month in a snake poisoning case. They lodged the case under provisions of the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972, and for criminal conspiracy under section 120B of the Indian Penal Code. Yadav was granted bail a week later, on a 50,000 bail bond.

The case first gained attention after authorities conducted a raid in Noida and recovered snakes along with venom. At the time, Elvish denied any connection with the party or the snakes.”
