Prime Minister Narendra Modi presented the first-ever ‘National Creators Award’ at the Bharat Mandapam, national capital, on Friday, March 8. The award aimed to use creativity to drive positive change and received over 1.5 lakh nominations and around 10 lakh votes.
The winners of the award were announced, including Pankhti Pandey, who received the ‘Green Champion’ award, Keerthika Govindasamy, who won for best storytelling, singer Maithili Thakur, who won the ‘Cultural Ambassador of the Year’ award, Gaurav Chaudhary, who won the award for the ‘Best Creator in Tech’ category, and Kamiya Jani, who was awarded as the ‘Favourite Travel Creator’.
The awards ceremony has twenty categories, like Best Storyteller, Disruptor of the Year, Celebrity Creator of the Year, Green Champion, Best Creator for Social Change, Most Impactful Agri Creator, Cultural Ambassador of the Year, and International Creator.
