Amit Shah Takes Charge: Rallies in Tripura and Healing Touch for Violence-Hit Manipur :

Union Home Minister Amit Shah will dominate the political scene in Manipur today, April 15, as he spearheads an assertive campaign across the region. Shah’s packed schedule includes stops in both Manipur and Tripura, where he’ll directly engage with voters and rally support for BJP candidates.

Touching down in Agartala on Sunday night, Shah wasted no time diving into the political fray. He’ll kick off his day by addressing a rally in Kumarghat, Tripura, alongside Chief Minister Manik Saha, Tipra Motha chief Pradyot Kishore Manikya Debbarma, and BJP nominee Kriti Devi Debbarman.

Following his spirited rally in Tripura, Shah will fly to Imphal, Manipur, where he’s slated to lead meetings with Chief Minister N Biren Singh, Manipur BJP President A Sharda Devi, and other party leaders. Additionally, he’ll actively champion the candidacy of Thounaojam Basanta Kumar Singh, BJP’s candidate from the Inner Manipur constituency and the state’s education minister.

Notably, the BJP’s decision to throw its support behind candidates from the Naga People’s Front (NPF) in the Outer Manipur segment underscores its strategic alliance in the region. Against the backdrop of ethnic tensions stemming from protests over Scheduled Tribe status, Shah’s visit signifies the BJP’s commitment to navigating the complex political landscape of Manipur.

Shah’s proactive approach epitomizes the BJP’s determination to secure electoral success in the Northeast and reinforces the party’s efforts to directly connect with voters on the ground.
