Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the Sashakt Nari – Viksit Bharat programme, where he witnessed agricultural drone demonstrations by Namo Drone Didis at the Indian Agricultural Research Institute in New Delhi. The event showcased the empowerment of women through initiatives like the Namo Drone Didis.
During the programme, PM Modi handed over drones to 1,000 Namo Drone Didis and witnessed their impressive demonstrations. Additionally, around Rs 8,000 crore in bank loans at subsidized interest rates were disbursed to Self Help Groups (SHGs) through Bank Linkage Camps in each district, benefiting numerous beneficiaries.
Addressing the audience, PM Modi praised the determination and resilience of the women entrepreneurs, expressing confidence in their ability to lead the nation towards progress. He highlighted various government schemes aimed at empowering women, emphasizing the significance of creating opportunities and upholding their dignity in society.
The event, attended by Union Ministers Arjun Munda, Mansukh Mandaviya, and Giriraj Singh, underscored the government’s commitment to women’s empowerment and rural development. It highlighted the transformative potential of initiatives like Namo Drone Didis and Self-Help Groups in fostering economic empowerment among women, especially in rural areas.
