Jabalpur University’s oversight led to a chaotic situation when they failed to conduct an exam despite releasing the timetable for MSc Chemistry Third Semester, Computer Science First Semester, and Computer Science Third Semester 2023-24 on February 14, 2024. Scheduled from February 21 to March 13, from 8 am to 11 am, the exams were eagerly awaited by students, with ‘Computer Organization and Assembly Language’ for MSc first semester slated for March 5. Admit cards were distributed, and students from various districts, including Jabalpur, arrived at the university at 8 am on Tuesday. However, to their dismay, they were informed of the exam’s cancellation due to the university’s failure to prepare question papers. In response to the uproar, Vice Chancellor Dr. Rajesh Verma and Registrar Deepesh Mishra promptly issued a new schedule for the examination. Additionally, officials conducting the exam were given three days to provide explanations for this irregularity as investigations ensued.
