Alia Bhatt Hosts ‘Hope Gala’ in London to Raise Funds for Underprivileged

Alia Bhatt hosted the ‘Hope Gala’ in London on March 28 to raise funds for underprivileged Indian adolescents through the Salaam Bombay Foundation. The venue where the gala was hosted, Mandarin Oriental, shared a video on Instagram, giving a glimpse of the event hosted by the actor.

In addition to Alia, attendees included singer Harshdeep Kaur, filmmaker Gurinder Chadha, and comedian Rohan Joshi. The video showcased Alia’s stunning appearance in two distinct looks.

In her first look, Alia chose a velvet maroon fusion dress, which she showcased on the red carpet. Later, she switched to a stunning lace ivory saree.

The video also captured segments of the charity event, including a musical performance by Harshdeep Kaur, who sang some popular Indian songs.

Alia Bhatt’s ‘Hope Gala’ drew prominent philanthropists and industrialists from India and London. Salaam Bombay focuses on engaging Mumbai’s ‘at-risk’ children in in-school programs to boost their confidence and academic focus.

On the work front, Alia recently wrapped up shooting for her upcoming film ‘Jigra’, co-starring Vedang Raina. Directed by Vasan Bala and co-produced by Alia Bhatt and Karan Johar, ‘Jigra’ is set to hit theaters in September 2024.
