Kejriwal Skips 7th ED Summons in Excise Policy Case: AAP Urges Await Court Order

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has missed all 7th summons from the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection to the alleged irregularities in Delhi's excise policy. The AAP insists that the probe agency should await a court order instead of continuously summoning Kejriwal. The ED alleges that kickbacks amounting to ₹100 crore were received by the AAP for finalizing the policy, with a portion allegedly used in the party's Goa election campaign. Despite repeated summons, Kejriwal has termed them "illegal" and sought their withdrawal, prompting the ED to file a complaint for his non-compliance. The excise policy, aimed at revitalizing Delhi's liquor business, was scrapped after the Lieutenant Governor sought a CBI probe into alleged irregularities. So far, the ED has arrested top AAP leaders, including former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh, in connection with the case. #politicalgossip
