The Telangana Rising Global Summit 2025 concluded on December 9 at Hyderabad’s Bharat Future City, marking one of the most ambitious investment platforms hosted by the state. Bringing together over 1,000 delegates from 44 countries, the summit showcased Telangana’s expanding role as a hub for technology, clean energy, and future-focused industries. Spread across two days, the event served as a strategic platform for governments, global corporations, innovators, and policy leaders to engage in sector-focused discussions and long-term collaboration.
Investment Commitments Crossing ₹5.75 Lakh Crore
The summit recorded investment commitments totaling ₹5.75 lakh crore across four major sectors—green energy, deep tech, manufacturing, and entertainment. Several of these commitments stand out for their scale and transformative potential. Trump Media announced a ₹1 lakh crore investment towards a next-generation smart city, incorporating advanced digital infrastructure, mobility systems, and sustainable living features. Brookfield committed ₹75,000 crore for establishing a Deep Tech City, designed to serve as a nucleus for AI, robotics, semiconductors, and advanced research. Salman Khan Ventures unveiled a ₹10,000 crore township integrated with a large film-production studio, aimed at strengthening South India’s entertainment and creative economy.
Introduction of the CURE-PURE-RARE Framework
A defining highlight of the summit was the introduction of the CURE-PURE-RARE development framework. Drawing inspiration from countries such as China, Japan, and Singapore, the model aims to create a structured roadmap for balanced growth. CURE focuses on urban innovation and technology ecosystems. PURE emphasizes peri-urban industrial expansion, special economic zones, and manufacturing corridors. RARE targets rural advancement through predictability in farming, supply-chain strengthening, and agri-tech adoption. This three-tier model is positioned as a long-term blueprint for sustainable, equitable, and regionally inclusive development across Telangana.
International Recognition for Telangana’s Transformation
The summit received strong endorsements from global leaders. Former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair commended Telangana’s forward-looking development strategy and its emphasis on technological leadership. Former RBI Governor Duvvuri Subbarao highlighted the structural strengths emerging in the state’s economy, noting the significant rise in innovation-linked job creation and global investor confidence. Such international recognition further strengthens Telangana’s positioning as an emerging strategic center for next-generation industries.
Balanced Political Perspectives and Acknowledgment of Past Foundations
While the summit showcased the current administration’s global engagement, several opposition leaders emphasised that the growth trajectory was supported by institutional foundations built over earlier years. Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar, present as a special invitee, stated that regional collaboration across southern states would remain essential for India’s broader economic success. This balanced political view reinforced the summit’s narrative as not only a government-led initiative but a state-level effort supported by diverse stakeholders.
A Turning Point for Telangana’s Economic Vision
The Telangana Rising Global Summit 2025 marks a turning point in the state’s economic outlook. With commitments amounting to ₹5.75 lakh crore, the event has set the stage for large-scale shifts in energy, technology, manufacturing, and entertainment sectors. The CURE-PURE-RARE framework adds a structured, long-term development roadmap capable of influencing regional policy for years to come. As Telangana moves forward, the outcomes of this summit are expected to accelerate job creation, strengthen global partnerships, and contribute to a more balanced and resilient economic ecosystem.
