Two Earthquakes Strike Arunachal Pradesh Within Hours, No Damage Reported

Two earthquakes rattled Arunachal Pradesh in quick succession early Thursday morning, according to the National Center for Seismology. The first quake, with a magnitude of 3.7, occurred in West Kameng at 01:49 am, followed by a second quake of magnitude 3.4 in East Kameng at 03:40 am.

The National Center for Seismology confirmed the details of both earthquakes, stating that the first quake’s epicentre was located at latitude 27.38 and longitude 92.77, with a depth of 10 kilometres. The second quake’s epicentre was situated at latitude 27.46 and longitude 92.82, with a depth of 5 kilometers.

Fortunately, there have been no immediate reports of damage or casualties resulting from either earthquake. The tremors were felt across the region, prompting residents to remain vigilant but causing no significant harm.

Both earthquakes serve as a reminder of the seismic activity prevalent in the region and the importance of preparedness for such natural events. Authorities continue to monitor the situation closely, urging residents to stay informed and take necessary precautions in the event of further seismic activity.
