The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has apprehended a crucial suspect in connection with the Bengaluru Rameshwaram Cafe blast incident. Identified as Shabbir, the suspect was taken into NIA custody from Bellary district in Karnataka, as reported by news agency ANI.
The blast, which occurred on March 1 at the popular eatery in Bengaluru’s Brookefield area, left 10 people injured. The case is being investigated by the NIA, with assistance from the Central Crime Branch (CCB) of the Bengaluru Police.
The NIA, in its efforts to solve the case, has announced a reward of ₹10 lakh for information leading to the arrest of the bomber. A picture of the suspected bomber, captured from CCTV footage, has also been released by the agency. The bomber is seen wearing a cap, black pants, and black shoes.
Efforts to identify and apprehend the perpetrator are ongoing, with the NIA emphasizing the confidentiality of informants identities.
