Delhi-NCR: Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) has announced a significant reduction in the price of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) across Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR). Effective from March 7, the price of CNG in Delhi will be ₹74.09 per kg, down from the previous ₹76.59 per kg.
The price cut of ₹2.5 per kg will also apply to Noida, Greater Noida, and Ghaziabad, where CNG will now cost ₹78.70 per kg. In Gurugram, the new price will be ₹80.12 per kg, while Rewari and Karnal will see prices set at ₹78.70 and ₹80.43 per kg, respectively.
This decision by IGL aims to promote the usage of natural gas in the transportation sector and comes after a similar move by Mahanagar Gas Limited (MGL) in Mumbai, where CNG prices were reduced to ₹73.50 per kg.
