BJP Claims ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ Chants by Congress; Karnataka Rajya Sabha Win Sparks Controversy

The aftermath of Congress leader Naseer Hussain's victory in the Karnataka Rajya Sabha polls has ignited a fierce controversy, as the BJP alleges that during celebratory moments, Congress workers chanted 'Pakistan Zindabad'. However, the Congress staunchly refutes these claims, asserting that slogans were solely in support of Hussain's triumph. On Tuesday, the Congress secured three out of four Rajya Sabha seats in Karnataka, prompting jubilant celebrations among party supporters. Shortly after, BJP's IT cell head, Amit Malviya, shared a video purportedly showing Congress workers chanting 'Pakistan Zindabad'. This allegation was echoed by various BJP leaders, including Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar and Karnataka leader CT Ravi, who shared the video on social media platforms. In response, Naseer Hussain dismissed the BJP's claims, affirming that he only heard chants such as 'Naseer Hussain Zindabad' and 'Congress party Zindabad'. He expressed readiness to condemn any objectionable slogans had he heard them. The National President of Indian Youth Congress, Srinivas BV, supported Hussain's stance, stating that the chants were actually in support of Hussain, not Pakistan. Amidst the escalating controversy, the Bengaluru Police took suo moto cognizance of the matter and filed a case under Section 153, highlighting the seriousness of the issue. This incident has further exacerbated tensions between the BJP and Congress, with both parties accusing each other of spreading misinformation. As the political arena becomes increasingly polarized, this controversy has captured widespread attention, raising questions about the nature of political discourse and the use of provocative rhetoric. #politicalgossip
