Odisha Cabinet Extends KALIA Farmer Incentive Scheme for Three More Years

In a significant move ahead of upcoming elections, the Odisha cabinet has approved a three-year extension for the Krushak Assistance for Livelihood and Income Augmentation (KALIA) farmer incentive program. With an estimated budget of ₹6,029.70 crores allocated for the period from 2024-25 to 2026-27, the extension aims to continue supporting the agricultural community. Originally implemented in 2018-19, KALIA plays a crucial role in uplifting farmers who form a significant portion of Odisha's population, directly or indirectly reliant on agriculture for their livelihoods. #socialgossip
