Officials said preliminary information suggests that Chavan had gone missing earlier in the day, after which his phone was found switched off, causing concern among family members and acquaintances. People close to him reportedly attempted to contact him repeatedly, and when those efforts failed, they began searching for information, only to later learn about the burnt vehicle and body discovered on Vanavada Road. An official statement from the police confirmed that a call was received on Dial 112 at around 12:30 am, reporting a car on fire along Vanavada Road.
