Minister for Health, Forests, Women & Child Development and Urban Development, Vishwajit Prabhakar Rane, today reaffirmed that the guiding principle of all his ministries remains a resolute people-first approach. In a strong statement on governance philosophy, Rane declared that every initiative is designed to strengthen communities, empower families and improve quality of life across Goa.
People-First: The Core of Every Initiative
Rane emphasised that every scheme and project under his portfolios is conceived with the welfare of the common citizen at its centre. “We work with the core value of a people-first approach. Whether it is healthcare, environment, women’s empowerment or urban planning, the focus is always on strengthening communities and empowering families,” the minister said.
Antyodaya and Integral Humanism as Guiding Principles
The minister reiterated that the principles of integral humanism and Antyodaya — ensuring the last person in the queue is served first — form the foundation of his governance model. “Development must reach even the most remote village of our state. No family, no village, and no Goan should be left behind,” Rane asserted.
Seva and Samarpan at the Grassroots
As a dedicated karyakarta of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Rane underlined that he continues to work at the grassroots level with the spirit of seva (service) and samarpan (dedication). “Being among the people, understanding their needs and addressing them directly remains central to my functioning,” he added.
Alignment with PM Modi’s Transformative Governance
Rane stated that his efforts are fully aligned with the transformative governance model under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. From expanding healthcare access and launching large-scale environmental initiatives like “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” to implementing women’s empowerment programmes under Mission Shakti, every initiative is designed to deliver direct and tangible benefits to citizens.
Vision for an Inclusive and Future-Ready Goa
The minister concluded by saying that the collective goal is to build a Goa that is inclusive, future-ready and reflective of the shared aspiration of all Goans for progress and prosperity. “Together, with the people of Goa and under the guidance of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, we will continue this journey of inclusive development,” Rane added.
