The alliance with Tata Memorial Centre—one of India’s premier cancer institutions—brings renowned oncologists, research protocols, and technological advancements to Goa, enabling multidisciplinary care encompassing surgical, radiation, and medical oncology tailored to the state’s demographic needs. Rane emphasized that the hospital will prioritize affordability through government subsidies and insurance tie-ups, ensuring no patient is denied access due to cost, and incorporate telemedicine linkages for remote consultations, extending benefits to rural talukas like Sattari and Sanguem where cancer incidence is rising due to lifestyle shifts.
Rural Diagnostics Expansion: Early Detection as Prevention
Complementing the hospital, Rane is aggressively scaling rural diagnostics through mobile screening units and upgraded primary health centres equipped for mammography, colonoscopy, and Pap smears under the Swasth Mahila campaign, which has already screened over 1.8 lakh women statewide.
