Andhra Pradesh Police have imposed a statewide high alert following the tragic blasts in Delhi on November 10, 2025, in which nine people lost their lives and several others were injured. The suspected terror incident triggered a rapid response from security forces across the country, including intensified vigilance in Andhra Pradesh.

According to officials, both State and Central intelligence agencies issued alerts to strengthen monitoring of sensitive areas, public transport hubs, and interstate routes. Police forces across districts were directed to remain on maximum readiness until further instructions.

Statewide Security Checks and Patrolling

Soon after the alert, police teams began conducting vehicle inspections on major National Highways and state borders. Barricades were set up at multiple checkpoints to monitor passenger movement and cargo transportation. Officers reported that the checks are precautionary and aimed at preventing any suspicious entry into the State.

Special drives have been initiated in bus stations, railway hubs and crowded commercial zones, where footfall remains high throughout the day. Patrol teams have been instructed to stay visible in public spaces and respond promptly to information from residents and local establishments.

Surprise Checks in Hotels and Lodges in Vijayawada

In Vijayawada, one of the State’s busiest commercial centres, police intensified operations by inspecting lodges, hotels and rented accommodations. Officers verified guest ledgers, Aadhaar cards and ID documents of those currently staying in the facilities. According to sources, the checks are part of a larger preventive effort to ensure that no suspicious individuals take shelter or attempt to go unnoticed.

Hotel managements were also briefed on safety protocols. Owners were asked to remain alert and immediately inform the nearest police station if they notice unknown individuals checking in without proper documentation or displaying unusual behaviour.

Coordination With Intelligence Agencies

Senior officials confirmed that surveillance footage and data from CCTV networks are being closely monitored in collaboration with intelligence units. The high alert has placed additional focus on bus stands, railway stations, airports and coastal locations to ensure there are no vulnerabilities.

Law enforcement authorities have also urged the public to cooperate with verification procedures and share any information that may help prevent security risks. Officials emphasised that the measures are preventive and part of a larger national response following the blast in the capital.

Public Safety Measures and Advisory

Police have appealed to citizens to remain calm, avoid spreading unverified rumours, and report anything suspicious. Emergency helplines and district control rooms remain active. Officers also highlighted that such alerts are standard procedure after major incidents and are aimed at ensuring safety rather than creating panic.

With ongoing monitoring, authorities will review the alert level based on inputs from intelligence networks and national agencies.
