In a significant step towards supporting the farming community, Member of Parliament Y.S. Avinash Reddy met with the District Collector to discuss the worsening situation of onion farmers in the region.
Avinash Reddy expressed deep concern over the sharp fall in onion prices and the financial strain it has caused for local farmers. He urged the government to take immediate corrective action, implement fair pricing mechanisms, and provide relief measures to protect the livelihoods of cultivators.
He was accompanied by former Deputy Chief Minister Amzath Basha, District President Ravindranath Reddy, and former MLA Raghurami Reddy, who reiterated their commitment to stand by the farming community.
The meeting highlighted the YSRCP’s ongoing efforts to ensure that the voices of farmers are heard and that proactive steps are taken to address agricultural challenges across Andhra Pradesh.
