Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced his new 72-member Council of Ministers, which includes 11 ministers from NDA allies such as TDP, JDU, LJP, and Shiv Sena. The Cabinet maintains continuity with key portfolios, allocating the Home Ministry to Amit Shah, Defence to Rajnath Singh, Finance to Nirmala Sitharaman, External Affairs to S. Jaishankar, and Road and Highways to Nitin Gadkari. Shivraj Singh Chouhan takes over Agriculture and Panchayati Raj, while TDP’s Rammohan Naidu assumes the Aviation Ministry, replacing Jyotiraditya Scindia. JP Nadda is the new Health Minister.
Modi’s third-term Cabinet, formed on Sunday evening, consists of 30 Cabinet Ministers, 5 Ministers of State with Independent Charge, and 36 Ministers of State.
