After news about Munmun Dutta and Raj Anadkat supposedly getting engaged came out, both actors quickly responded to deny the rumors. They clarified that they hadn’t exchanged engagement rings in a private ceremony in Vadodara
Raj Anadkat cleared up the rumors on Wednesday through his Instagram Stories. He said, “Hey everyone, I want to tell you that the news you’ve been seeing on social media isn’t true. It’s all made up. From, Team Raj Anadkat.”
Munmun Dutta, speaking to Times of India, said, “This news is ridiculous, fake, and ludicrous. Zero ounce of truth in it. And frankly, I don’t want to give my energy to this fake thing that keeps coming up again and again.”
This isn’t the first time rumors about their relationship have come up. They first appeared in 2021, and both actors issued lengthy statements to deny them.
Raj had said back then, “To everyone who has been constantly writing about me, THINK of the repercussion that can happen in my life because of your ‘COOKED UP’ (false) stories and that too about my life without my consent. All the creative people out there, please channelize your creativity somewhere else; it will be helpful to you. May God bless them with good sense.”
Munmun also shared her thoughts, saying, “To everyone out there, I expected better from you. But the nasty comments, even from supposedly ‘educated’ people, show how backward our society can be. Women face age shaming, slut shaming, and mom shaming just for your laughs. You don’t care if your jokes hurt someone deeply. I’ve entertained for 13 years, but it took just 13 minutes for you to tear down my dignity.”
