At least five individuals were hospitalized after consuming mouth freshener at a restaurant in Gurugram, as confirmed by the police on Monday.
The incident unfolded when Amit Kumar, accompanied by his wife and friends, dined at La Forestta Cafe in Gurugram’s Sector 90.
According to the police, following their meal, the group received mouth fresheners from the restaurant staff, triggering an abrupt decline in their health.
Those who consumed the mouth fresheners began to experience persistent vomiting and mouth bleeding. Amit Kumar alleged that despite their deteriorating condition, the restaurant management showed indifference and did not provide assistance to the group.
Upon being informed, the Gurugram Police promptly responded, shifting them to a nearby private hospital for medical treatment.
Following this, a First Information Report (FIR) was filed against the restaurant owner, and the police have initiated an investigation into the matter.
