26/11 Mumbai attack Mastermind found dead under ‘mysterious circumstances’ in Pak
Azam Cheema, the 70-year-old intelligence chief of LeT, died from a heart attack in Faisalabad. But his passing has stirred up lots of talk among Pakistan's jihadi groups, especially after some LeT members were killed mysteriously recently.Pakistan blames Indian agencies for the deaths of several LeT members, a claim India denies. India says it doesn't have a 'killing list,' but if there was one, Cheema would have been at the top alongside JUD chief Hafiz Saeed and JeM chief Maulana Masood Azhar. Cheema was involved in planning the 26/11 terror attacks and the July 2006 Mumbai train bombings, among other terror incidents in India.Cheema was the mastermind of the 2006 train bombings in Mumbai that killed 188 people and injured more than 800 people. He was wanted by the US government for allegedly training the terrorists who carried out the 2008 attacks, which led to the deaths of a total of 166 people, including six Americans.
