BREAKING: Bombay High Court Criticizes CBI’s Arrest of Kochhar in ICICI-Videocon Case
The Bombay High Court has rebuked the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for its arrest of former ICICI Bank CEO Chanda Kochhar and her husband Deepak Kochhar in connection with the Videocon-ICICI Bank fraud case. Describing the arrest as "without application of mind and due regard to law," the court emphasized that it amounted to an abuse of power. The HC dismissed CBI's claim that the Kochhar were uncooperative, asserting their right to remain silent during the probe.
